The visit of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to a hospital convocation on Tuesday is alleged to have led to the death of a desperately ill man, after the PM's security detail blocked the car holding the man from entering the hospital gates.

KANPUR: A young boy died of injuries with his mother alleging that the road blockades erected during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit here prevented the family from taking him to hospital in time to save him. Primister had an apology for the tragedy.

In yet another instance of the callousness one has come to associate with India's current government, security personnel supervising the PM's convoy in New Delhi refuse to give way to a heart patient, leading to his death. Once more, as always, an inquiry has been ordered.

I live in a democracy and have all the right to criticize and ask questions for every action of the government. I am free to express my anger for the political actions and get to roads. I could behave and cause more problems, worst than the situaltion for which I have complaints.
But I dont know how to react when we oursrlves are involved in it and even media is not interesed in covering the problems caused because there is nothing sensational in it.
I am talking about the Jat agitation for OBC reservation.
The fact is that
Hundreds of public vehicles have been burnt, rail network has been stalled causing huge amout of public money. Thousand of
trees were cut as part of the demonstration.
someone could not reach home to see an ailing mother because Jats want reservation.
Why they would need reservation? I dont know.
Someone could not bring the Uncle to delhi for medical checkup when the Son knows that it his last hope.
Someone could not go to home after 10 months to celebrate Holi with family because Jats want reservation.
May be I dont understand the importance of reservation. I really feel pity on my lack of intelligence to understand that Jobs under OBC category are important than economic progress of the country, life of a person, taxpayers money, environment etc.
I just wish I had the power of decision like the people who are agitating and demand reservation. I just wish I had the courage to destroy property, trees. But I am very weak and coward because I feel responsible.
I dont know who is right by being in democratic country, we or the PM. At least these facts makes us feel that we are equal, equal right to be wrong in our acts though thoughts may be in good intent.
